Research interests

During my PhD in neurosciences, I studied the capabilities of peripheral vision (beyond 20 degrees of visual angle), in healthy participants on the world perception.

Then, I extended this study on patients with maculopathy (such as AMD), pathology inducing a central vision loss, to better understand this peripheral vision.

Associated with this, we have done oculometric measures, because it was shown that central vision loss had to consequence an alteration of ocular movements.

This work allowed to show that despite to central vision loss, patients were able to adapt and use their peripheral vision to try to recognize what surrounds them. However these performances were below those of healthy participants, who still possessed the central vision.

After obtained my PhD in Septembre 2015, I had the opportunity to integrate the laboratory of cerebral plasticity at ESPCI at the beginning of 2016, alongside Sophie Pezet.

This changing of topic was not a brake for me, on the contrary. Indeed, it allowed me to open more doors, to meet other people, to learn new things, to extend my field of competence and above all to show that I have a great ability to adapt.

Within the team, I’m working to differents pain projects mixing behavioral tests, imaging and immunohistochemistry.

    • Ultrasound imaging (with M Tanter).
    • Behavioral studies (motors et sensory mesures (hot/cold), static or dynamic mecanic) in rondents.
    • In situ hybridization, immunohistochemystrie and coupling with neuronals pathway tracing.
